Reduce intake of purine-rich foods
Avoid foods that have high purine levels: organ meat, shellfish, dried mushrooms, sardines in oil, anchovies and duck.

Adopt a healthier lifestyle
Drink 8 glasses of water, and exercise for at least 30 mins a day. Also, avoid alcohol and soft drinks.
